In keeping with the spirit of your post my comment follows …… 🙂
Pictures say a thousand words, so peaceful.
WAOUH – no wonder people make jokes about the weather in England! I’ve been living in this city for over half a century, and I’ve only ever seen thick mist or fog twice, in all those years! This week the temp is in the mid 20s, centigrade – still – beautiful blue sky all day. Cold and/or dull weather occurs during about 4 months of the year, “fine one day & perfect the next” for about 8 months, and then we have occasional patches in mid-summer that you’d probably call “hot”.
So it’s never occurred to me to take photos like this.
WONDERFUL – although I prefer our weather!
The cobwebs, the lily pads, the obvious signs of recent showers – the rather demure colours of the boats. You should have an exhibition, Paul.
Thanks Pete. Good to be back on DS more regularly. Cheers.
Absolutely delightful images, Paul! And so up my alley, too! You are henceforth inducted as Master of Fog, a.k.a. MofPaul.
Thanks Philippe. Master of Fog will do. The rest has less than desirable connotations in some places 😉
Not to mention that it could be confusing to the readers.

Paul, wonderful depiction of fog, so hard to “capture” (as if we could, or would want to). Also, great eye for lovely detail. No verbs, just serenity.
Quiet, peaceful, wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful images, thanks for sharing Paul!
Ah, so peaceful, Paul. You’ve proved my point that fog (and cloudy skies) make colors pop in the most delightful way. I especially like the image shot between the red and blue boats – are either of these yours? Can’t wait to hear all your news. Thanks for sharing!
Hi N. No, the red and blue boats are my neighbours. I’ll try and work in some pics of ngiyabonga (my boat – the name is a Zulu word, closest translation; “thank you”) soon.
Very beautiful images thank you
beautiful series. went through it multiple times and enjoyed even more each time!
Simply superb, inspiring. Thank you.
Paul, great images; I can practically hear the soft dripping of the morning! Talk about atmospheric….
Paul, I have thought about your images a lot since first seeing them. This is a lovely set of photos, beautiful rendering and colors, great composition, and emotionally effective—as stated above, peaceful. Very nice, indeed.
Thanks Claude. There was a lot of “right place, right time” in there.
