Quick summer news from team DearSusan.
Paul Perton has suggested we create wallpapers and has provided the first sample below. It serves as a simple calendar and is 1920×1200 resolution. You can resize it easily to fit your screen resolution.
The photograph was made in Scotland at sunset near a brook, called a “burn” in Scotland (thanks Fran, see comments below) that Paul will soon tell you more about in an article on photographing moving water. Please feel free to click the image to access and download the full-size version.
Expect to see more freebies appear regularly on the website. These will include calendars, wallpapers, tip-sheets, ebooks and more. If you have any specific requests, your comments are welcome.
In the past weeks, we have started posting how-to articles (creating panoramas, for instance) and will continue to do so on a regular basis. Over the next few days, these tutorial and articles will be grouped in to a new category directly accessible from the home page.
How to – make the best of morning light – soon in a category near you.
Image analysis articles (The Every Story Tells a Picture series) will also be placed in this category.
As always, feebdack is welcome and sharing much appreciated 🙂

In Scotland, I think a “brook” is usually called a “burn”. I was brought up there A long time ago) and it was then!
Ouch! You’re right Fran. Thanks for pointing it out. My grandfather was a Clan Graham Scot, shame on me. Post updated.
